Towns and villages
France is famous for its beautiful idyllic villages and authentic towns. One village that should not be missed when you’re here is ‘our’ village, Viverols. It might be small, but it has a castle you can walk around and a wonderful view to enjoy. St. André, Saint-Étienne, and Le Puy en Velay are a few places that are definitely worth a visit as well, but there are many, many more gorgeous places we would like to tell you about.
Explore the local area
There is so much to see and explore in the area. You can do this in different ways: on foot, by bicycle or motorcycle, or from the air or by boat. If you want to try something completely different, you can ride the Velorail. No matter where your interest lie, there is something for everyone. Do you need information about the local area? We cannot wait to tell you all about it!
We are all familiar with the French kitchen. Especially with the delicious French cheeses, the wonderful wines and fresh baguettes. But there are still so many more culinary delights for you to discover. Ever since we moved here, we visited many restaurants, cafés and pubs. One tip we particularly like to share is Le Relais du Vermont, a wonderful ‘auberge’. We also provide evening meals on request and will tell you more about these when you arrive.
Hot air ballooning
If you would like to try something different on your holiday, a hot air balloon ride is just the ticket! The beautiful French countryside is a feast for the eyes. Take a break from your hectic life to enjoy a glass of wine and a well-earned rest. A wonderful way to relax!
Activities for young and old
Of course, we shouldn’t forget our younger guests. After all, when the children are having fun, the parents enjoy their well-earned holiday a lot more as well. There is an adventure park nearby with great climbing facilities. The summer is the time to go for a swim. The local zoo is also a fun place to visit.
A chance to cool down on a hot summer’s day is very welcome. And the best place to find it is ‘our’ river that borders our property. But there are plenty of other options for swimming nearby. Ask us about the nearest lakes, we’ll be happy to give more information and directions.
